Mind-Bending Photos Of Istanbul Look Straight From Inception
Aydın Büyüktaş is Turkish photographer and digital artist, he turns the streets of Istanbul upside down in these warped cityscapes that it look like the curve infinitely upward and outward toward the skies.
“We live in places that most of the times don’t draw our attention, places that transform our memories, places that the artist gives another dimension,” says Büyüktaş. “These works aim to leave the viewer alone with a surprising visuality, ironic as well as multidimensional, romantic point of view.”
This project was originally inspired by Edwin A. Abbott’s satirical novella “Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions.” It is a story of a two-dimensional world occupied by geometric figures.
